S&P 500 futures fell early Friday while Asia-Pacific markets tumbled as a global sell-off in technology stocks gathered pace amid mounting concerns over the rising cost of artificial intelligence infrastructure.

S&P 500 futures were down 0.8%, while Nasdaq 100 futures lost 1.59%. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell by 107 points, or about 0.2%.
